Field Trip to the Zoo

I volunteered to go to Hazel's school field trip to the zoo. Because they had so many parents I only had Hazel and her best friend Katie in my group.

Because my sisters name is Kati Hazel calls her friend little Katie and her aunt is Big Kati. They are really funny together. I lost count of how many times I heard "Its sooooo cute!". They said it at almost every animal except the icky ones like the bats and snakes.

I thought this gorilla was hilarious! This is exactly how I left Isaac in the morning. I guess 10am is too early for the gorilla too.

My guess is that this was the female gorilla because she was up eating breakfast and starting her day.

The crocodiles
This turtle was on a mission to get to the other side of his little pond. He moved slowly but with purpose that purpose we really don't know.
He tried to squeeze between that rock and pipe thing which we discovered was the drain to his pond when he knocked it over and all the water started draining out.

Was he going to let that tree branch get in his way?
Nope he climbed over it.

Sorry no pictures of him reaching his destination the girls got bored (he was a turtle after all, so he was moving pretty slow) so we moved on to the next animal.

The bus driver on the way there was talking about the new dinosaurs at the zoo. Katie turned to me all excited and said "Are they real?" Ha ha ha.

Hazel was exhausted and fell asleep on the bus ride back to the school.
