The Cabin and Thomas The Tank Engine

We decided this year to get tickets to ride on Thomas the Tank Engine at Heber Valley Railroad. Marc and Emily gave us a Thomas train table a couple years ago and the kids have so much fun with it.
Because my family has a cabin up there we just stayed there for a few days too.
We did Delilah's hair in pig tails for the first time. I thought she looked so cute!

She hated having me do her hair as you can tell from the big tear on her cheek

So we got to the rail road

We saw Sir Topham Hat
Evan was scared of him. You can see him hiding behind Hazel.

The kids got Thomas tattoos

Finally it was our turn to ride. We got on the train.
Hazel was so excited

Erick was feeling pretty cool about riding such a famous train

Delilah liked it

Evan FREAKED OUT!

I mean really freaked out! He was screaming like we were taking him on the murder train or something.

This is him hiding under the chair.

Isaac was getting too stressed with him so I gave him Delilah and I took over with Evan. I look really bad in this picture.

Once the train started Evan calmed down but did not enjoy himself.

But everyone else liked it

The kids got certificates. Erick really liked his, you can kind of see him smiling at it.

This is Evan not having fun

This is me. I thought it was kind of fun. Hey I used to watch Shining Time Station when I was little.
After the ride was over Evan couldn't get off that train fast enough.
We decided to get cotton candy to help make Evan feel better.

I think it worked.

Delilah got her first taste of it

I think she liked it.

Erick wears his hat the way cool train conductors wear them.

We got balloon animals

Hazel's cat

The twins got snakes which surprisingly lasted until we got back to the cabin before they popped them.

We got pictures with Thomas

I realized that the kids were getting tired when Erick started laying on the ground in line for things. They did wake up at 5am cause they were so excited to be at the cabin.

The kids had a lot of fun playing outside at the cabin.

Evan tried to sneak back outside later thinking this was an appropriate outfit for running through the woods. At least he was putting on shoes.

Glenn loves trains-is that the Heber Creeper? That's so neat you can go up to the cabin! I agree with the laid back being nice and aggravating at the same time :) That's great you like watching your kids play :) there's always so much to do, I have to remind myself to focus on them more...you are Carlye are such great moms!
