Swiss Days 2011

We go to Swiss Days in Midway every year because my family has a cabin up there. I have probably only missed like5 in my whole life. When I was younger all of my dads side of the family would go. Now usually it is just my family. I missed last year because I had just had Delilah the week before. So we were pretty excited to go this year.
Isaac took the day off work on Friday so we could go up early. He was nice enough to drop me off so I could meet up with my mom and sister Kati to shop for a while and he took the kids back to the cabin to play.
The kids were all super excited because we had brought blow up mattresses so they could all sleep on the playroom floor together with their cousins. Luckily they had worn themselves out so they fell asleep pretty fast.

We always get up really early on Saturday so we can go to the pancake breakfast they have at Swiss Days. The kids all really liked it, especially Delilah. She was sitting on my lap so I didn't get a picture of her.

Then we shopped for a while. I got a Kanga baby carrier for Delilah and I am really liking it. The twins and Hazel got foam swords and we got some flower hair clips for the girls. Isaac also got his sister a Christmas gift and couldn't resist getting one for us too (I can't say what it is because that would ruin the surprise). My parents got Hazel a crown and a wand and the twins wood cars.
Then we went to watch the parade. We were running a little late, when we got there I heard we missed Miss Utah, Danica Olsen. One of my best friends is her cousin and I haven't seen Danica since she was little.
We had fun watching the parade.
Daniel and his friend were excited to see the Jazz bear.
Evan just sat on the ground with his little pile of candy and only got up to get more candy.

It was Delilah's first Swiss Days Parade. She was wearing one of her new flower clips.
After the parade we went back to the cabin. The kids had way too much fun exploring the forest.

They were really dirty by the end of the day.

I even let Delilah out on the deck to explore a little.

Until she started trying to eat stuff she found.
The kids played Frisbee with Daniel and his friend for a while
Then they got tired and came in and watched a movie. Most of the adults took turns taking naps during the day. I think I was the only adult who didn't get one.
That night after we got the kids to sleep we played games, this is my favorite part. Usually we stay up too late and get so exahusted everything seems hystarically funny. We get to that point much faster now that we are older and have kids. I think because I didn't get a nap that day I started out at that point.
Some of Davids artwork. Can anyone else tell what that is supposed to be?

When we checked on the kids before going to bed I found the twins were having a hard time staying on their mattress.

Delilah got some bonding time with Madee before we left. Maddee was crying and Delilah was not cool with this.
