Sledding at the Cabin

We went to the cabin again this year. We spend a weekend up there every winter and go sledding with my family.

Kati brought her "friend" Tyler again. When he comes up he is "Big Tyler" and Carlye's little boy is "Little Tyler"
This looks like some romantic scene from a movie where they are about to kiss, really they were just standing there talking. Although I did catch them kissing later and gave them a lot of crap about it :)
Erick at first hated it. He didn't like being all bundled up and he didn't like being cold until . . .

I showed him how to throw snowballs.

Hazel made a mini snowman

The kids did a little sledding on a little hill

He didn't go very far before he slipped off the sled but he still had fun

We usually do a lot of sledding when we go but the little kids can't climb in the deep snow very well and it is so hard to carry them and a sled up the hill so Isaac and Tim made a nice tunnel for the kids to play in.

Evan climbing through the tunnel

Coming out the other end

And then he stops to eat some snow.

This was Delilah's first trip to the cabin and she had fun with her favorite cousin Jaxen. He went and got himself a blanket so he could sit on the floor with her under a blanket like her.

My sisters should not be allowed to have pens.

That is Delilah's arm and yes she is a little fatty but on her it is adorable. I was not happy about Kati drawing on her though.

Hazel got the little toy tea set out of the toy box there and made several different people sit and have a tea party with her. I even gave her cookies to serve to her guests.

It brought back some memories of me playing with that very same tea set when I was little. She even got out the very same barbies that are up there that I used to play with. It was almost like going back in time and watching myself play at the cabin.
On Sunday me, Isaac, Kati, Big Tyler, Daniel and Martin (Daniel's friend) played a very intense game of Clue. We all, except Kati, figured out who did it and with what and eventually all figured out it was in the kitchen. It was a race to the kitchen to win. Surprisingly Kati got there first and won with the help of Big Tyler.
After a game of Apples to Apples we packed up and left.
My kids fell asleep instantly in the car and slept in really late the next morning, which was very nice.
