I really can't believe Delilah is already 5 months old. I really wish I could slow down time, I don't like my kids growing up so fast.
Delilah went in for a doctor check up last Friday. It was her 4 month check up but because of Christmas we were a little late. It was not a good day. We slept in to start it off then as I was going down the stairs (luckily I was not carrying a child) I slipped and went down the stairs on my butt. I don't recommend going down the stairs that way. Hazel came running in saying "What was that?!" I was fine but I have been sore for the past few days.
So we get everyone ready to go, I ask Isaac to get the kids out in the car while I hurry and feed Delilah. Soon he comes back in saying he has bad news, one of the tires is flat and he can see there is a screw in it. We only have one car so this was bad, and we were already late. So Isaac called a tire place that was really close to our house and they said they could fix it in ten minutes so we drag all the kids there. As we waited I was on the phone trying to reorganize things. My mom was going to watch Hazel and the twins for us but there was no way we could make it to her house and back to the doctors in time now. So I called Carlye to see if she could watch them, which I felt bad about because they had just gotten back from vacation the day before. Finally we get back on the road again (good news: they fixed it for free!) and I realize we are going to be super late and we don't have time to stop at Carlye's place so I call her back and say never mind and then I call the doctors office and tell them what happened and that we will be late. So I rushed into the doctors office with Delilah while Isaac stayed in the car with the other kids. The nurse weighed and measured Delilah, that little girl is a chunk, she was 15lbs 9oz! The doctor checked her and she is a perfect healthy fat little baby. He was a little worried about a mole she has on her ankle so he wants us to take her to a dermatologist at Primary Childrens hospital, I hate that place, I am glad it's there and everything but it is not a place you want to have to take your child to. I have now taken 3 of my 4 children there and I always leave holding my kids a little tighter and thankful we are there for nothing serious. Hazel went to the same doctor we will be taking Delilah, she had a crusty spot on her head, turned out to be really bad cradle cap. And Erick had 2 doctors there for his spine and his head. Anyways not thrilled about another trip to Primary Childrens but the doctor thought it needed to be looked at closer. Other than that though she is perfect.
We went to my mom's house after and Carlye and Tim and their kids came over. Carlye decided to go get an ultra sound done at a fetal photo place while we were there so . . . I know what she's having! But I can't tell until she does.
Here are a few pictures I have taken of Delilah recently. She is the most adorable good baby ever! And she is super smart!
Here are her fat thighs. I have seriously never seen such fat thighs on a baby but they are so cute! The red mark on the left leg is from her shots :( but she was a trooper and hardly cried. The nurse said it was because her thighs were so fat it didn't hurt as bad :)
