Last week we went and met the teacher and saw her class room. Then I took Hazel out to lunch and we bought new shoes (she had grown out of hers and mine had a hole in them) and then I let her get a couple new school outfits too. We got her a backpack a few months ago. We saw the Tinkerbell one and had to get it.
I explained to her that I couldn't stay there with her like I do at her dance class. I told her I would get her settled in her class then I had to go home and take care of the brothers and then I would come back and pick her up. She has been repeating that to me all week, "You will get me settled then go home and take care of the brothers and then you will come and pick me up"
So last night we got all her stuff all ready for the morning.
I asked Hazel in the car if she was nervous and she told me no she was just excited. Once we got there she got nervous. I loved that they make the kids wash their hands as soon as they get there. I am a germaphob. When one kid in the house gets sick everyone gets sick so it is two weeks of no sleep for me. So we got her signed in (a parent has to sign her in and out), hands washed, backpack hung up, name tag on, and moved her name on the little chart from "Not at school" to "In School". Then I took her over to play and reminded her that I would be back to pick her up.
I got home and was amazed at how much I got done without her home.
When I picked her up she told me how she colored and got to play on the slid. We showed her dad her picture she colored and of course it went right up on the fridge. She seemed to have a lot of fun and is excited to go back next week.

Glad she liked it! Her backpack looks so big on her :) The twins are really growing, they look like toddlers now, sooo cute!
