Halloween

Me and Isaac both really love Halloween. It is one of our favorite holidays. This year Hazel wanted to be a witch, we decided to make it a cute witch. It took us a while to decide on a costume for the twins and then we decided to go with something that brought out their true selves, Devils. My mom always made our costumes so I like to make them for my kids too.
We went to Isaac's work party on Friday, which was fun. Isaac works with my sister's husband, Tim and my brother Chris so we where all there. Here are a few pictures we took of the kids dressed up before the party.

The twins shirts say "I AM THE EVIL TWIN"

Because Halloween was on a Saturday we decided we should have an activity for the kids during the day so they were not driving us crazy all day, so we took them to Gardner Village. We went to the petting zoo. Evan was in heaven! He loves animals and he was having so much fun running around petting all the animals. He even kissed the goat. Gross! Hazel and Erick had fun too.

We let Hazel go on the pony ride.

When Evan saw Hazel on the pony he started freaking out because he wanted to do it so we got him a ticket to ride too. While he was riding he kept saying "Weeeee" and "Yee Haa". So cute.

I felt guilty that Erick hadn't gotten a turn so he got to ride too.

Then we went to the hay maze.

Then we wondered around and looked at the witches.

Finally after a nap and dinner we got ready for trick or treating.

The Pirates are my sister Carlye's kids Tyler and Jaxen. We forgot the twins mustache and goatee's but they still looked cute. Our first trick or treat stop was to Grandma Sue and Grandpa Mike's house. Then we went around my parents neighborhood. We kind of got a late start so we didn't get to everyone's house. Hazel remembered the drill from last year but I was surprised how quickly Erick and Evan figured it out. At houses Evan would push his way up in front of the older kids so he could get candy first. He even wanted to walk by himself and carry his own bag. Erick insisted on carrying as much candy as he could in his chubby little hands and let me and Isaac carry his bag. My sister took pictures while we trick or treated,my hands were full with the twins so I didn't get any. When she posts them on her blog I will steal them and put them up here.
Then we came back to my parent's house and threw in a Mickey Halloween movie for the kids and let them eat some of their candy and doughnuts. Hazel was exhausted and having a melt down when I took these pictures, that is why she is not in them. Eventually I got her to lay down on the couch and she was asleep in just a few minutes.

Another excellent Halloween!
