Salt Lake City Film Festival

If you are not aware that a bologna sandwich can defeat goblins.

If you are not thinking about adding more popcorn to your sex life.

If the phrase "you can't piss on hospitality" doesn't make you laugh.

If you are not tempted to take your seat belt off in the car to see why it feels so good.

If you don't know who Ryan Avery is.

Than I pity you
because that means you most likely missed the Salt Lake City Film Festival. And that is just sad
Because it was awesome!

Me and Isaac decided to go see Best Worst Movie which is a documentary about a movie called Troll 2 which was named the worst movie ever made. It was made to be a horror movie and now almost 20 years later it has become really popular for being so bad it is funny. Best Worst Movie was hilarious and then they had the makers of the documentary do a Q&A afterward. I guess George Hardy has started saying he won't do his most famous line from Trolls 2 at anymore showings. The line is "You can't piss on hospitality, I won't allow it". If it doesn't make sense to you watch Trolls 2 and it still won't make much sense :) Anyways he has said he won't do it anymore and at the Friday night showing of Best Worst Movie he did it! I guess he even picked up the kid (who is now 30 years old)like he does in the move. Chris was so happy that George Hardy did it for their film festival when he won't do it for others. Well after seeing Best Worst Movie I told Isaac we have to see Trolls 2 which was playing later that night. Chris said we can rent it but I wanted to see what they meant when they said it would be interactive. I later found out that means they count when Grandpa Seth stops time (he says he will stop it for 30 seconds and it is stopped for almost a minute and a half), people throw bologna sandwiches at the sandwich part, and throw popcorn at the popcorn sex scene (yes you read right popcorn sex scene). So anyways me and Isaac hired a babysitter for the first time ever for all three kids so we could go see Trolls 2. We choose our sets carefully because we didn't want to get hit with food and we ended up sitting right by Grandpa Seth! When do you get to watch a movie sitting next to one of the main actors! The movie was one of the funniest I have ever seen. It is so great because they were really seriously trying to make a great horror movie. It is about about a family who goes to this town and it is full of vegetarian goblins (there are no trolls in this movie) who are trying to turn them into plants to eat them. The little boys dead grandpa is helping him fight off the goblins. After the movie they did another Q&A with even more of the actors. My brother and Matt where so excited when scary general store guy showed up to bring some t shirts. He lives here in Utah (it was filmed it Morgan and Heber Utah). I guess he never comes to these things he said he was just dropping off the shirts and then left but then he decided to come back and get up on stage. It was really fun and it was nice that I knew the official photographer for the Film Festival, my sister Carlye, because I grabbed her and said "I want pictures with the actors". Also nice knowing both the co directors, my brother and Matt, because I got a picture with both of them too. Can't come up to Robert Redford and tell him he has to take a picture with you. Anyways can't wait for next years Film Festival! If you want to see clips from Troll 2 you can find them on you tube or just rent the movie.
This is me with Chris and Matt the Co-Directors of the Film Festival. Me and Matt where in one of Chris's movies together. I played a mafia message delivery person and all you really saw was my legs. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=31424120 Chris also has some of his other movies on this.

This is me and Carlye with Grandpa Seth. Isaac took this picture and we were surprised when Grandpa Seth (sorry don't remember his real name) handed Isaac his own camera wanting a picture with us.

This is me and Isaac with crazy general store guy and George Hardy (the dad in the movie). The general store guy was super creepy. I guess he was on leave from a mental hospital to film Trolls 2. He is the one who likes the feeling of not wearing a seat belt in the car. In Best Worst Movie he talks about how much he hated the kid in the movie not realizing it is the kid doing the documentary and the one filming him.
I want to say how impressed I was with what my brother did. I never thought he would pull it off and he did and it was great! Good job Chris!!! And Carlye thanks for the pictures. I have such talented siblings. They learned everything they know from me. :)

looks like you had a good time. I hope it was a success! Chris should know what good advertisers you and Carlye were. :)

I told him all my friends from facebook were going to delete me because I was being so annoying about it. But it was really the only way I could help out with it.
