Another Crazy Week

This week we were a little busy. Erick got really sick last Sunday. It started with just a stuffy nose and then turned into a fever of 102 degrees for 5 days! I was keeping him on IB prophen but at nights sometimes that didn't get it down. On Monday he scared me when during dinner I noticed his lips were turning blue and his fingers tips were a dusky color. He was breathing fine so I figured he was cold. I put him in a warm bath which was a bad idea because when I got him out he got colder.I dressed him warm, wrapped him in a quilt and turned up the heat and soon he was nice and pink again but I kept checking on him all night. On Tuesday night he woke up right as we were going to bed and so I brought him in with us to snuggle and he totally puked in our bed and almost got Isaac. I told him it served him right because he had gone to sleep and left me to deal with the sick baby. We gave him a bath (to lower the fever and wash the puke off) and I changed the sheets. Finally on day 4 we took him to the doctor. We had all three kids at the doctor for an hour and a half while they ran tests. They checked oxygen levels because of the blue lips, they did an x ray of his chest to check for pneumonia, they check his ears for ear infection and did a strep test. Everything came back ok. The doctor said we had a very sick baby but not hospital sick. He told us what he thought Erick had (I don't remember what it was called) and said it would last 5-8 days and sent us home. I am so glad we have a good pediatrician because I went home knowing all the big things had been checked for. Finally yesterday I started getting my funny little Erick back and today he is all better. And amazingly no one else got it. Erick and Evan share everything so we were shocked Evan didn't get it.
The day we went to the doctors Hazel got a package from her Grandpa Marc and Grandma Emily. It was a life saver after a long day at the doctors Hazel was driving us crazy. We opened it up and it was a ton of Mardi Gras beads. They go to Mardi Gras every year. Hazel has had a lot of fun with them, wearing them and decorating the house with them.
Hazel got invited to her first friend birthday party this week. I went and stayed long enough to get a few pictures. Cinderella came and Hazel was so excited. She was even wearing her Cinderella dress. It was the first time I had ever left her at a friends house so she got a little nervous and wanted to come home a little early. All she missed out on was a movie.
The weather was finally good enough for me to take the kids out to play. It was the first time I let the boys loose in the back yard. As expected they ate dirt and grass, some bark chips and Hazel's sidewalk chalk. Evan loves to explore so his little knees were pretty red and scraped up. Our neighbors were in their backyard too and invited Hazel to come over and play. She had a lot of fun and it was really hard to get her to come home and eat lunch. Our other neighbors boxer ,Rocko, came out in his backyard and Evan really wanted to give him a kiss. He kept saying "puppy" and trying to give him a kiss threw the fence. This dog is huge so I am glad Rocko didn't get close enough for a kiss.

Isaac got a new job offer but we are waiting for the written offer they said they will mail. We have a few concerns so we are not sure if he will be taking the job. It is not more money but he would be working Monday thru Friday at nights so he can go to church and we won't have to buy another car just yet because he will be home during the day so I can take Hazel to dance and in the future preschool.
Baby Jaxon still has not arrived so Carlye's doctor is starting her tomorrow. I will probably go to the hospital Tuesday afternoon to see him and bring Tim food. Isaac and Tim have a little tradition of bringing each other food and Mountain Dew at the birth of a baby. Silly boys. I will get pictures up as soon as I can.
