My mom, sisters and I have talked about going to the cabin just us for a while and finally we did it.
I packed the essentials . . .
It was a little tough to leave my kids. I don't think I have ever left all 4 children with Isaac over night. Isaac dropped me off at Chris's apartment where I met Carlye and we drove to my mom's together. Chris wasn't home so we couldn't leave without leaving a couple notes saying we had been their. Although we didn't say who we were. Later Carlye got a confused text from Chris wondering if it had been her. She of course said "no". Ha ha ha.
On the way to my mom's we also had a car full of guys wave at us. Guess we are still pretty hot when we don't have a car full of kids.
We got to my mom's and finally left.
We first did some major shopping at the outlet stores in Park City. We grabbed some dinner and headed to the cabin. On the way we almost hit a deer which was pretty exciting. I mean seriously almost hit it, as in I am pretty sure we nudged it along.
As we were bringing stuff into the cabin I saw something that looked like dog poop. I had just warned Carlye not to step in it when the poop started to move! It was a HUGE slug! So I did what any big sister would do, I picked it up with a stick and chased Carlye through the woods with it.
It was freezing in the cabin so I am glad I brought my snuggie. Even though my sisters made fun of me endlessly about it. I think they were just jealous.
The next day we did more shopping around Midway. Carlye drove us all crazy trying to buy a big old door, the kind with glass panels. She wants to put pictures in it and hang it on her wall. It was big so there was issues with how she was going to get it home.
In Midway I saw a family of deer that had twins. There is a bond between all twin mom's even if they aren't human. It was kind of sweet to watch them. The dad was totally aware of us and watching us while his family ate.
We stopped back off at the outlet stores on our way home for a few more things we decided we had to have. Then we headed home. I got home really late but was happy to see Isaac and my children had survived without me.
It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it again.
Nothing.
