Erick's Spine

So we took Erick to the Spine Doctor at Primary Children's. I was hopping this would be our last appointment with him but the curve in Erick's spine is a little worse. It did not make me very happy to hear that. The doctor said it is not very bad and he still thinks it will straighten on it's own when he starts walking and developing more strength in his trunk. We have to take him back in another six months to have it checked again. Hazel was pretty amazed about the X ray of Erick's back. The doctor is very nice and was showing it to her and explaining it was a picture of Erick's bones. It is kind of funny Erick's helmet doc and spine doc are complete opposites. The spine doctor is always smiling and never seems like he is in a hurry and I don't think I have ever seen the helmet doctor smile and he always has a group of people following him writing everything down for him and he never seems to remember anything about us. But from what I have heard they are both two of the best doctors at what they do.
I have to say going to that hospital always makes me appreciate my healthy kids. When we go to the spine doctor we have to walk right by the neonatal (the place for really sick newborns and they have to be pretty bad to be taken from the hospital they were born at) and it always makes me sad for those parents. When I was pregnant with the twins I was so terrified they would end up there because I had heard about so many twins born really early.
Anyways the twins have their one year check up next week! Let's hope they weigh over twenty pounds so I can give Carlye back her car seat before her baby is born.

Hope that all goes well with his spine-we'll keep him in our prayers! Robert and Camille and the twins are doing well, though I agree with you there's lots to come! I'm stressed about having ONE newborn again...
